The Woolworths Group is on a mission to deliver the best in convenience, value, and quality for their customers. They have 3,000 stores and counting and employ over 200,000 team members who serve over 29 million customers across our brands every week. Brands include: Woolworths, Big W, BWS, Dan Murphy’s and Cellarmasters to name a few.

The Challenge

Woolworths Group has multiple brands using competing technology platforms. This has meant that user persona mapping and application rationalisation didn’t work. Add to that, outdated service management processes and endpoint privilege management meant, like many organisations during the digital age, face increased security risks.

The Eighty20 Solution

We were engaged to develop a solution that enabled the Woolworths Group workforce to conduct their work seamlessly across systems. To achieve this, we:

Developed a modern operating system and supporting infrastructure to enable a harmonious desktop experience across brands.
Rationalised 6,000 software objects to a unified set of 250 deployable standard applications.
Enabled the Eighty20 migration tool to process data and migration batches.
Established a Business Change Network to support the migration to Windows 10 across the Woolworths group (over 12,000 end users).
Designed and built a new Windows 10 operating system and supporting infrastructure (Intune) for the Woolworths environment.
Develop and implement new automated Service Management processes to allow staff to engage with new EUC offerings.
